The Event Staff will work directly with the public. The primary responsibility is to greet guests, seat patrons, work security, and check tickets at the entrances to the Mid-America Center. The work is performed under a varied work schedule under the supervision of the Event Services Supervisor and Manager. Some of the other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greet Patrons, check tickets, Direct patrons to appropriate aisle, stairways, etc., Assist patrons with questions, Restrict access to areas as directed, and are responsible for crowd control and acting in a courteous and helpful manner when handling these situations.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Ability to deal effectively with the general public.
Ability to enforce rules and safety regulations in a positive manner.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be neat and clean in appearance
Initiative to follow through on problems in the absence of supervisors and make the appropriate decision.
